Response: For my first ATC's, I made two at the same time. I sent those two out for this two-partner swap. If you and my other partner ever get together, you'll be able to see how the two images fit together. :o) Kinda fun to thing about.

Comment: This was perhaps the nicest swap I've ever received! So many beautiful things, and I loved all of them! Your ceramic work is wonderful--I love the earrings and the buttons. Your sunshine earrings are the cutest handmade earrings I've ever seen! The fabric is beautiful! The beads were so very nice! You outdid yourself! I don't know how I'm going to do as well as you did. Response: Hooray! Hooray! Hooray! I think my favorite part was the wrapping. When I've sent care packages in the past (the closest experience I've had to this sort of trade), I've never wrapped the contents. I remember when I began sealing the box, I said to myself, "Dang, this looks good!" I had self-doubts about the items I sent, but I knew I rocked the wrapping. :o) I'm very pleased that you liked everything!

Response: Ooh! I'm so glad you like. Yes, the background is from that leftover spiral book spine. To me the ATC almost started looking like a flapper dress. I really like the idea of seeing what can be made using things we, without thinking, just normally throw away. The leftovers. I have in my head an idea from paper trimmings -- like confetti. The shredded money -- the company I used to work for had a bunch of it that they were going to throw away a couple years ago -- I just snapped that up! Thank you for your kind words! ::: beam :::

Comment: Thanks for your "Letter A" ATCs. Very nice. I love your backgrounds. I'm a newbie to Swap Bot too, and new to making ATCs as well. I used to do mixed media postcards for international mail art, so now I'm learning to scale stuff down to ATC format. You're off to a great start & I'm glad to hear we're kindrid spirits as to whimsy & eclectic vs cutesy! Hope we connect again in a swap.
