Edited - If you would rather do a HANDCRAFTED notecard instead of postcard, that would be fine also. : )

I LOVE Autumn...pumpkins, beautiful colors, cornucopias...some people come "alive" in the spring, not me, I come "alive" in Autumn.

I think in order to celebrate the beauty and wonder of Autumn (NOT Halloween) we should have a Postcard Swap. BUT not just your average, run of the mill store-bought touristy postcard. Because of how beautiful Autumn is, we should make beautiful handcrafted postcards. (Please no zazzle, or digital for this swap, but true "glue to paper" postcards.)

SENDER'S CHOICE so go ahead and get started!

I will let you decide how to do your postcard, but you must keep in mind they are to be mailed naked. (Written on and mailed without being inside another envie.) So there are a couple of things to remember:

  1. Keep it fairly flat (a small rhinestone, or puffy sticker is fine)

  2. Double secure everything. Make sure that your glue/tape is dry and not globbed. (which is a no-no in my swaps anyway)

  3. To be sure add a second stamp OR take to post office to mail. (If I get an international partner, I typically take mine to the PO so I can be certain of the postage.)

Other than those 3 (obvious) rules, have fun. Create something you will have to pry out of your own hands because you love it. Of course keep in mind the theme is Autumn, but whatever your interpretation of Autumn is will be up to you. (Stickers are fine, but please don't sticker slap).

I stress this is NOT Halloween. I want everyone to be comfortable participating in this and there are awesome people that would prefer to not celebrate Halloween. So this is one we ALL can join in. Let make this one super duper!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Disclaimer (as always):

I am opening the swap to everyone, even Newbies with no ratings. (That is how much I love Autumn). And of course I will Angel. However; I do have the right to ban anyone that I feel will cause issues. And if you flake in this (or any of my swaps), I will have zombies hunt you down and eat your brain...and you will be added to my flaker's list and be added in the flaker's group. Not that any of you would ever flake, I'm just saying.

I've placed it on my watchlist. Will be making it ahead and join day before for reasons I've mentioned in PM. ;)

I would love to join, but the last (and only) time I created a handmade naked postcard, it got damaged along the way. I thought I had it all glued down good and protected, but apparently not. It was for an angeled swap, too, so that made me feel even worse. I am going to re-make that card, but send it in an envie.

Any suggestions on how to keep everything all together?

The one and only time I made a hand made PC I used 3M self laminating paper when I was done with it... probably over kill... but I'll be doing that again with this one :) Just want to make sure mine stays "together"... hope that's ok!!!

Hmmm...Would it be better to change this to Handmade Card instead of PC? I want everyone happy in my swaps. Swaps that cause worry are not fun. : )

Thanks for giving us the option :) I think I will still do the PC; I'm new at making them but they're fun! The laminating stuff worked out great for me last time...my partner didn't seem to mind and I didn't worry about it coming apart! But whoever gets my name can send whichever. :) I'll be happy to receive either one!
