30 gifts of december - a sort of Advent swap

There are a lot of Advent calendar swaps, but Advent is really a "Christian" term, so I choose a title for this swap which may encourage more people to join. Whatever your background and beliefs, December gives us opportunities to let people know they enrich our lives.

You will have 5 partners, and send each partner 6 gifts - for a total of 30 gifts. This will allow everyone to open a gift for 30 days of December (take off Christmas, a day of Chanukah, the first night of Kwanzaa or any other day you will already have a present!).

A few rules:

• each partner's gifts should have a minimum total value of $5. I know this is an expensive swap, but think of the gifts you will also receive!

• at least one item should be profile based. Please refer to your partner's profile for dislikes, allergies, etc.

• at least on item should be specific to where you live, whether it be a food item, something you can only get in your area, or a special recipe. Share where you are!

• remember to wrap each item and to add a loop so they can hang your gifts if they wish.

Handmade is wonderful, but by no means required!

I've made the send date as late as possible to make sure our gifts make it across the border and to give people time during this busy season to get packages out.

Swap-bot has allowed me to make friends in places I have never been. I hope swaps like this give you the same opportunity. I will angel if necessary, but if anyone else wants to volunteer to angel, that's fine with me!
