A FQ question - I bought a FQ today measuring 50x52cm (19x20in) will that be ok to use in swaps or do I have to go back and get the exact proportion of 45x55cm (18x22in)?

I know it is a silly question but people can be funny about things and I would like to know where I stand. :)

I dont think its a problem, especially if you bought it as a FQ. Save your self a trip back to the shop and use the one you have brought :)

ooops sorry I didnt see the question earlier.

Lol! You have the FQ I was asking about.

I think the different FQ measurements relate to metric and imperial measurements. I've received FQ's from the US and they are a fraction smaller, ie. 1/4 yd whereas we use metric, ie. 1/4 metre (which is a few inches longer than a yard). Does this help?
