For me, this is the most beautiful season of all! Trees turning and the brisk air cooling (for most of us lol) and most of us don't need a reason to go outside and enjoy it! :D But hey, I'm here to help the others, too! ;) This swap will consist of creating a simple wand. We want to keep it simple, so the receiver can decorate or add, what they want on it. This would consist of finding a fallen branch (they are gifts to us when fallen) and either widdling with a pocket knife or sanding it down. Your piece of wood should be AT LEAST 7 inches (pocket size) in length and approximately 1-2 inches in circumference after being sanded and widdled. You can include in your package extra gifts such as stones, beads, string, feathers or anything else to add to it! Remember to include some info on the wand such as the type of wood it is, where you found it, and the extra items you included with it. Here is a link to help with the magickal properties of some types of woods: http://www.dragonoak.com/Magical-Wood-Properties.html http://www.traditionalwitch.net/index.html/_/member-articles/traditions/magickal-uses-of-woods-r49 I think this will be very interesting to see the different types of wood each of us come up with from different places we all live! So let's all go outside and enjoy it all while we still can! :D Blessings )O( |
