Stickers, Stickers, and MORE stickers!! #2
Swap Coordinator:rattissia (contact)
Swap categories: Stickers  Childrens Items  Craft Supplies
Number of people in swap:12
Location:International
Type:Type 2: Flat mail
Last day to signup/drop:November 28, 2011
Date items must be sent by:December 13, 2011
Number of swap partners:1
Description:

For this swap you will have 1 (one) partner. To that partner you will send a envelope with stickers in it that weighs 2 ounces. Meaning that you get a envelope, stick a note inside about who you are and what swap it is, then fill it up until it hits 2 ounces. Fill the envelope up before the partners are even assigned if you can! That way the contents are a complete surprise to them! Any and all size of stickers work for this swap.

The only stickers that should not be included are reward stickers (ones that say well done, messy, try again, etc..). Stickers that look like they might have something to do with school (like apples, or school houses, etc) are fine as long as they are NOT ones that have the teacher-to-student type messages (again, such as but not limited to, well done, messy, try again, super!, awesome!, etc) This is a great way to get a lot of stickers traded quickly without spending a ton on postage! Animal, holiday, patriotic for your country, sports, seasons, hearts, stars, etc, etc, etc are all welcome!

2 ounces is approx 57 grams which is 7 grams more than the minium postage for Australia. 50 grams or less is $2.35 to the USA, Europe & UK whilst 50 - 125 grams (4.4 ounces) is $4.70.

I'd love to join if you don't mind me going only up to 50 ounces?

I hope we stick to the 2 ounces...you have to make a number and when you stay at 50 grams you have to pay more because of your envelop. So I think it is not far to other people because you are sending less stickers then 50 grams (less then 2 ounces). For me it is really not a problem to pay more.... I think we will get a great mix of stickers :)

$2.35 increase for just 7g extra is a lot. I imagine Australia won't be the only country with a cutoff at 50g either.

Ok lets put it this way, if your area does 50 grams its fine to do it to the 50 grams. 2 ounces if your place does it by ounces. 7 grams of stickers isn't that much difference-honestly I'd doubt someone would even notice if it wasn't mentioned. I'd rather that more people were able to participate then not :)

Grams, ounces, anyway u look at it this whole swap by weight sounds like a total pain in the butt! What happens if ur envelope is sealed u go to the post office and all of a sudden its a gram or two underweight? U have to go home and redo it all? How about just a NUMBER of stickers and eliminate the entire hassle?

A lot of swappers have their own scales at home. If you want one by number then feel free to join one of the many others that do it that way.

A lot of countries go by grams... ESP all the European ones. Well it d still be a bunch of stickers. Guess if u go by postal weight u rather make it us only next time since tht guarantees the same postage for everyone.

I did say in the comments that 50 grams was close enough to the 2 ounces for the usa equivalent.
