Description:
The idea for this swap comes from Maggie249 and is a great idea for a swap. What you are going to do is take an unfinished small wood box, and paint, stain, or decorate it any way you wish, as long as it represents the Element Air. Once the box is done, you will put inside the box items that represent the Element, such as feathers, incense (Cone incense works great for this type of swap), stones, any thing in the colors of Air, etc. As long as it represents the Element Air. We will be doing this for each Element, including the Element, Spirit, so have fun.

oh good like this one also - I had joined a swap in another group where they did similar but with fire - it was really fun to think up things to put into the box I have some tiny wooden boxes from Hobby lobby that i will use for these - that way postal will not be so great and the box will be the art to put on our shelf to display

I have had a busy last two days. I got it into my head I wanted to do all the boxes ahead of time. I have been painting and decorating for two days. I am finally done. Wow!

I would love to see a big turn-out for this swap. It is not hard to decorate a small box like one of the elements and then put a couple of items in the box that represent that element. I have painted and decorated all four of mine. Come join the fun!

I made a mistake in the dates for this swap. They have been edited to: Signup by: January 5th and send by January 15th. These are easy boxes to make and decorate. This is plenty of time to decorate or paint the boxes.

Remember Everyone, these are small boxes. They can be round, square, oblong or start shaped, but they should be small boxes.

i can't find any wooden boxes, may i use tin or papermache?

Yes, if wooden boxes are unavailable a tin in a small size would work too as well as a papermache box, decorated as the element air would be fine. Please join fairypretty7, I have put up the other three fire, water and earth, but haven't put up spirit yet.

Note to @fairypretty 7, should you want to join all the box swaps, a small tin or paper mache' would be fine since you can't find a small box.

Yay! I don't have any wooden boxes small enough that I would feel comfortable sending international and cannot get to a store in time. If we can use a tin or paper mache, I can do this!
