Description:

Please Read the following article, it explains the concept and method: Tackle Any Issue With a List of 100

I read this and immediately thought that this would be a great idea, so with Luciano Passuello's permission I will be hosting 100 list swaps using his 100 list.

You do not have to join all of them.

List No.2: 100 Ways I Could Nurture Myself

"Don’t worry too much about repeating entries; duplicates can shed light on your patterns of thought...... Last 30 entries: where the gems are

At this point you will already have exhausted most “logical answers, allowing your subconscious mind to express itself more freely. Don’t be surprised if you get at least one or two really nonsensical or seemingly illogical entries. You may feel tempted to not write them down (“How on earth did I think that?). Write them down anyway: these wacky entries may sound far from profound, but it’s exactly those items you’re after. " Luciano Passuello.

This is going to be snail-mail again. I am going to put a poll on website to find out whether you would prefer that these type of swap snail-mail or electronic. Your opinion would highly be appreciated even if you are not planning to join-up in the future swaps.

All are welcome. Please make sure you have a full profile that includes some interests, likes and dislikes. If your partner wants to end something small and light.

Poll: Do you prefer to do list swaps electronically or by mail?

http://simonesbutterfly.synthasite.com/100ListsSwap.php

bundabergsangel 01/19/2008 #

That link isn't working for me, but I prefer mail, definetly.

By the way, I personally think 5 days to send is a little short, some of us can only get to the post office once a week...at least 7 days?

Tinkergirl 01/19/2008 #

In order to vote I had to take off the end of the link (100ListsSwap.php) and just go to your main site. Then from there link onto the right section. Something with the formatting with SB doesn't make posting a link easy here.

Tinkergirl 01/19/2008 #

main site being http://simonesbutterfly.synthasite.com

Tinkergirl 01/19/2008 #

See if this works http://simonesbutterfly.synthasite.com/100_Lists_Swap.php

Tinkergirl 01/19/2008 #

nope sorry that didn't work...sorry for all the comments...just trying to figure out how to make your link work

Simone 01/19/2008 #

Thanks Tinkergirl

http://simonesbutterfly.synthasite.com/ then click on 100ListsSwap

Seems like to 2 people so I got it working 1 each direction.

Bundabergsangel, thank you for the suggestion I will lengthen it!

Simone 01/19/2008 #

Simply click on the swap homepage above and it should take you there.

dorsia 01/21/2008 #

I voted for snailmail because I prefer to write lists like this by hand, somewhere away from the computer, but I could scan them in (or type them).

Shirley 01/22/2008 #

I hope it's international this time! I was so sad I didn't get to join in the first one! I'll have to create my own after I had completed 99 of these lol, or I'll feel there's something missing ^_^

(I voted for snail mail, but I'd like to type them in a nice paper and print my own... my hands hurt when I handwrite too much)

Simone 01/23/2008 #

The first is international also

Shirley 01/23/2008 #

I'm insane... I guess I saw a similar one that was USA only, because I joined and then the coordinator told me it was USA only, thanks for letting me know, I joined too!

angelstar 01/24/2008 #

I'm happy this in International. I've got 40 so for. I AM NOT doing this one in one sitting! :-)

Simone 01/25/2008 #

Do what works for you.

SarahLiz 01/27/2008 #

I'm as excited for this swap as I was the last one! Thanks for opening our eyes to a new way of learning, Simone!

tkoufus 01/29/2008 #

count me in , i love lists and i love the challenge to sit down and put some real meaning into the lists as well.

anwyn 01/30/2008 #

hmmmmmmm have just completed my 1st list and signed up for this then realised i'm a complete spanner and am not sure what you mean by nuture? can you give me a few eg's so i don't write out 100 wrong ideas! : s

jennhx 01/31/2008 #

I started this free blog related to this swap, so folks can share their lists and enthusiasm! Take a look and give me some feedback:

http://listof100.wordpress.com/

Priscila 01/31/2008 #

I will ask the same thing as anwyn, I'd love to be sure of what do you mean by nurture =D

Simone 02/ 1/2008 #

jennhx - I love the blog design.

Chai 02/ 1/2008 #

I just updated my address! Yay! To who ever get's me: please make sure you are sending it to ohio, THANKS!!!!! Sorry for the trouble! <3chai

jennhx 02/ 1/2008 #

Anwyn & Priscila, I'll give my own two cents about nurturing. I think it means ways you support, encourage, or sustain yourself. It refers to ways you take care of yourself. Anything that nourishes or sustains your well-being (both mental and physical) can be nurturing to you. Some things nurture one aspect of yourself, some nurture you as a whole being. Some examples: taking a long bath, exercising, allowing yourself time daily for reflection and meditation, doing something creative each week, there are at least 100 ways for each person! :)

Timeless63 02/ 1/2008 #

This is going to be difficult. I am guessing it is okay to write down new ideas that you dont do yet. I am going to your vote site, but like others i think snail mail is better. It gives you time to get away from the computer ad get alone and really dig in and think!

Simone 02/ 2/2008 #

Thanx - Jennhx I seem have missed that question and your answer is exactly right.

Timeless - it can include new ways as well.

In sense its things we have done and new ideas of what we could do. Anything to renew yourself.

Some definitions: nourish; educate; foster, help develop, help grow

I am definitely going to keep it snail-mail and just one partner - for hearts you probably include something that matches something on list or with the topic.

And those who would like to share their list with us can post it our blog. This will be really great because we can really learn from each other.

angelstar 02/ 3/2008 #

My list is ready!!

Simone 02/ 4/2008 #

Cool Angelstar.

The rest of the swaps will be up soon and will also be on the blog.

anwyn 02/ 5/2008 #

thanks a lot that what i thought but just wanted to check may go shut myself away and do my list. this will be great when we have all the list's completed. i vote for snail mail to!

bundabergsangel 02/ 5/2008 #

I voted snail mail because I don't get the same thrill when opening and reading mail that has been typed & printed out in simple black and white, so I wouldn't expect others to either! =)

I also didn't know what was meant by nurture, and I was almost going to drop out because of it! But I shall give it a go, I just feel sorry for my partner!! I'm aiming to do all of these lists!

mag 02/ 6/2008 #

snail mail is the way to go!

this list is harder than the first one. i hope i can reach a hundred (:

BohemianPrincess 02/ 6/2008 #

im stuck at 40,,,unless i start breaking things down more..

Simone 02/ 7/2008 #

There are definitely things on my grateful list that crossover with with my nurture list - does that make sense

Spectress 02/ 8/2008 #

Is there a US only one of these?

Simone 02/ 9/2008 #

Not that I know of. I am in South Africa.

angelstar 02/ 9/2008 #

Wow! This swap is on the top 10!

angelstar 02/ 9/2008 #

I made it to 100 several days ago. This one was hard, but I did it. I think if I did it anyone can do it. I hope everyone comes up with 100!! I want to receive 100! Not 40. Not 50. Not 60. BUT 100!!

whinendine 02/ 9/2008 #

I need to drop from this. I am not good at nurturing myself and my hubby is not doing well lately, so I really don't have time to think of myself, although I know that's what I should be doing. Thanks for understanding.

Simone 02/ 9/2008 #

Sorry to hear that whinedine. Hope things go better with your husband soon.

I think part of challenge here is tapping into our reserves and finding more ways to nurture ourselves. We generally so busy taking care of others that even if we get a moment to ourselves we don't know what to do.

My daughter has started grade 1 this year. I have been so absorbed in making sure that she has everything she needs and feels special that I keep forget to organise and pack my own lunch. This has gone on for 2 weeks!! I mean should be simple I pack hers, I pack mine - right! but.......

cfchai 02/11/2008 #

Haha, after I send out my 'hard crack' 100 things that I am grateful, I have other things to feel grateful about, can I lisy down something different on the blog instead? :P

lunarmama 02/12/2008 #

I agree with bundabergsangel about the swap time frame. I'm in Milwaukee and can hardly get out my driveway much less to the post office on most days (we've had over 2 feet of snow in the last week) so it'd be great if I had a little more time. That said, even with the difficulty in getting the item posted I do prefer snail mail. :)

SarahLiz 02/13/2008 #

My list is ready to go for my partner!

For those of you who are struggling to make your list, have you read the blog that Simone links us to? There are tips and information on how to make your list (maybe make a bit easier?) and you might want to check it out!

Simone 02/15/2008 #

Last day for signing up!

Partners will be allocated over the weekend.

Thank you for joining this swap.

Simone 02/15/2008 #

Morning one and all

I am just waiting to be given the option to press the link that allocates partners.

Just a note to let know whats happening.

Have a great day.

SarahLiz 02/16/2008 #

duplessis3 - yours is off in the mail as of today from Portland, OR! It should be there early next week!

angelstar 02/17/2008 #

I put mine in the mail today with a few little "extras." :-)

Simone 02/18/2008 #

Mine is off.

No1Sassygrl 02/20/2008 #

Wow this wasn't as easy as I originally thought. I seen some of my duplicate answers and will try to work on those...since they kept coming to me...

Thx for hosthing this letter challenge.

It's going in the mail tonight after I re-write it and make my list pretty...lol!

A letter is en route to my partner. Enjoy!

StwbyQT 02/22/2008 #

Sultrypeacock - Just letting you know that I posted your swap today. :)

sultrypeacock 02/25/2008 #

I posted my swap today! .. Had to redo the entire list!! I wrote it up a week ago, but now I can't find the original. What a pain! .. informative though-- I hope I can get ahold of both lists together some time to see what crossover there actually is!

sultrypeacock 02/25/2008 #

ps. It wasn't any easier the second time around.

jennhx 02/26/2008 #

greyeyes, your envelope is going out tomorrow (2/27). i'm so sorry for the delay!

Simone 03/11/2008 #

Seems like all are sent out - please contact your partner if you don't get anything in the post before you rate them.

And don't forget to rate your partner.

Thank you for participation.
