Just a word of warning re. perforations if you go for a variation on this option - I sent a set of postcards a while back which I had perforated using the perforating blade of my paper trimmer. I think only one arrived in tact. Another separated along the perforation line when being posted through the recipients letterbox. Another arrived in two halves, in a post office 'body bag'. On the other hand, I did receive a postcard from our host @BetsyPreston with a perforated section to separate, which arrived without incident. She used a different method of perforating though (sorry, can't remember which!). Anyway, just wanted to mention it as something to be aware of. Maybe worth doing a trial run of mailing a sample to yourself, to see how well it works?

I use a pounce wheel. It's like a teeny tiny pizza cutting wheel, but it has pokey points on the wheel. It works really well on cardstock - perforating just enough to tear later, but not so much that it's too weak to travel.

But it does sound like cutting marks may be a better idea.

Yes, I remember now! I perforated some faux postage similarly last year, and it is definitely more effort to tear along than 'normal' perforation (but still effective), so would totally be less likely to detach itself in transit. Good thought! :)
