Description:

Do you have a bunch of used stamps or stamp borders that wait in the bottom of your drawer for a better life? Here is your chance to use them.

Make 2 nice postcards by sticking them on heavy cardboard (cereal box etc) and send 1 naked to each of your partners.

By naked, do you mean send them as a post card and not in an envelope?

it would be nice if we had a guide for creating such a PC, at its most beautiful and most durable extent.

yes naked means sending not in an envy and sending it as a real postcard.

What do you mean by "stamp borders?"

taagh 01/25/2012 #

have you seen a complete stamp sheet ? there are borders around it that when you separate all the stamps, they remain useless (a stamp paper, with gum, but with no picture on it). that is stamp border (i am not sure by the exact philately name)

I think an easy and durable way to do this would be to mod podge the stamps onto cardstock or thin card board.

I recommend Matte Medium or Matte Gloss for this project.

i think if the coordinator have used a real picture of a such made postcard, the people watching this swap would have better got the idea and took part in this.

i also suggest every one to create a video tutorial about how he makes his PCs, it will be fun and educating for others.

sorry girls to just pick things up now, I was very sick lately... So here is a few answers. It should not be difficult making these pc-s:

Get a cardboard, trim to PC size. Take your old stamps/borders, position your stamps so it looks fun or beautiful. once you got an arrangement that feels just right glue them on your cardboard by 1, using heavy glue (white glue) or 2, glue stick. If you use white glue your stamps should stay and endure postal processing. If you used glue stick, use mudge-podge (i usually use clear gel) to cover all your stamps to protect as a top coat. you can also use macktack or wide scotch tape to tape over to protect... That's it...Have fun creating!
