I'm not clear. Do you mean simple fabric blocks rather than, say, a FQ, or do you mean blocks of some quilting design so we'd wind up with a sort of sampler quilt with many different block designs?

12 1/2 in blocks - sort of like in the black & white swap, only in whatever colors you would choose. Yes you would end up with a sampler.

Still only two of us interested? Alphenstamp, if we don't get some others, I'll cancel this one and chalk it up to one of my "not so good" ideas - LOL

Okay, blocks of our choice, your colors -- that works for me. At the moment I"m thinking black and white with some red.

this one looks like fun, love the idea, watching for now....but very tempted, also thinking of what colors I'd like.

I hope you assign partners at Febr 29 as the sent by dat is March 15.....

You are so right, Alphenstamp. I'll go in and change it so that we'll have our partners assigned and then we have three weeks to get the blocks done in their colors and sent. I forgot that everyone has lives!

If you look at the swap I've now changed the dates slightly on both ends. Sign up by 2/26 and send by 3/17, That gives about three weeks to get our partner, think of what block we want to do and get a fat quarter if we don't have anything suitable in their colors.

Any color will work for me, but let me ask you this, has there every been enought yellow on this earth?

1leemeadows - I think you've chosen one color. What else do you like with your yellow? Warm or cool? Out here, every winter I think about how I should make a gray and yellow quilt - symbolic of the sky and the hope for sunshine.

A monthly swap is especially fun if we keep the same color combintions and wind up with a bunch of squares to go into a single quilt, plus our own borders and strippings.
