I love knitting socks and if you are reading this, I'm sure you do as well, or you at least want to!! For this swap, you will be swapping new yarn to make a pair of socks and a pattern to make said socks with! The theme for this swap will be..... CABELED!!!!!!!!!!!! Thats right swappers. We will be swapping a sock pattern that has been lumpified by cables! Sadly, winter is almost over and we need to get this last pair of winter socks in PRONTO! Its up to you what sort and how much of a cable you want, but being new to cable knitting myself, im pretty crazy about it. Remember, the fiber quality is still important. We put our little fingers to work and we want the finished product to be worth all of those little stitches! So that means no, must I say, cheap, acrylic, low quality yarns... After being flaked on by many people, I am unfortunately going to have to ban people with a lower than 4.85 rating... unless you have a good reason why your rating is low... ALL newbies must drop me a line before signing up and must have a complete profile and blog. ANYHOO!!!!!!!! AIM FOR THOSE HEARTS!

hey i think you can do sock swaps year round I plan to. I knit none stop and socks are the one project i can tack with me anywhere... thanks for doing another great swap... I am a big time cable lover but never put it on a sock yet ~s

I'm doing a cable sock right now! Socks are the best thing to knit for the summer - small and easy to carry, I agree. I'm in! Free pattern or bought pattern?

free, bought, made, borrowed,... whatevs! Just your favorite! I just learned to cable knit and im goign crazy! I found this great sweater to knit thats all cabled up and less we forget the mothers bday present?!?!?!?!!? cable cable cable! We are going to ireland and scotland and i figured I would make her a cabled sweater for the trip!

by the way, have you ever tried a fish hook cable needle? They are the best! Sock size, too!

I agree...There's lots of great sock fibers for warmer weather! My friends got me some bamboo sock yarn last year (which I haven't used yet!).
