LIFE Altered Text (Book Page) PC Postcard Swap

It's been a little while since the first one, but I'm going to carry this on as a series (the first postcard was on the theme of Love - I can run that one again if anyone wants - let me know).

In this swap you create a POSTCARD for 1 swap partner on the theme of LIFE, using the Altered Text Technique. You can create your Postcard in any medium you like (you need to start with a book page, the finished Postcard can be either an original or a print or photograph of your original work - if a print it's best to mount it on card) - but please keep to the standard Postcard size.

Cards can be sent naked or in an envelope. Please send a message with your card - it can be written on the back of the postcard or sent as a separate message.

It’s both great and strange for me to see more people working with altered text. I first started using the technique about 15 years ago and in my naivety thought I had invented it!! I later discovered a number of other artists using the same method of working and became fascinated with Artists Books. I have really loved seeing swaps come up with my favourite way of working!

Think about illustrating around your chosen text, maybe use collage, sewing, fabric, stamping etc etc.

You must have at least 3 mailed and rated Type 3 swaps and a rating of no less than 4.9, but newbies are very welcome too! Please message me if you don't meet the requirements but really want to join!
