Any kind of ATC Swap

These kinds of ATCs I like along with the person who hosted (in another swap ) just sticker slapping. :) Thanks! I will join later down the road.

When will this going to start, it's past the deadline to sign up and getting to close to the send deadline.

Smacks forehead I just noticed that the signup deadline is SEPTEMBER 21 not August 21..... I was thinking it had already passed the signup date, too, and was all ready for this to happen.... I should read more carefully, I guess. Lol

I will be watching it, was signed up but had to drop so I could join another swap that starts sooner..

This is my very first ATC swap. Will I be emailed on who my partner is or do I need to go to a list somewhere? Thank you in advance for helping me with my first swap so that I learn and do it correctly. I'm looking forward to having fun swapping ATC's.

@Terri07 when the partners have been exchanged (after midnight est the morning of sept 22, as late as a week later, though with the short send time, I am sure our host won't wait that long), you will receive an email that says, "it's time to start swapping!" you will then get your partner from a link on the swap itself, near the top right hand corner of the screen.

The day after the swap is to begin I will hit that magic button. I set this up over a month ago and wanted everyone to have a chance to make a ATC and send. With people working and doing vacations I was hoping for a nice crowd. If you all desire me to begin it early just drop me a yes and i will move it up a few weeks. Thanks

Will you be checking participants? This is a regional swap and I have noticed there are swappers (who are not in the US) are signing up. Also, a few flakers... I love ATC swaps, but I don't want to get partnered with someone who can't manage to send out their swap. Will you be angeling?

Please change this to a Type 3 swap. :) I contacted the Admin today and she told me that all ATC's fall under Type 3. <3

@VivaLaDiane - I believe everyone should have a fair shot at hosting and she has until tomorrow night to weed out the questionables before assigning partners. I think it would be more supportive to the swap community as a whole to point out any questionables you feel leery of directly to the host in a message.

@latentsmile I think it's more supportive to the swap community to out flakers and problem swappers asap. I also think if you're going to host a swap you should check the participants list often and ban as needed, not all at the end. I would watchlist or drop a swap if flakers were on the list. How can participants be sure the host will go through them at the last minute? Just another perspective.

I agree with you @Saristotle It's sad when you find a swap that you would like to join only to find out that a ton of flakers and questionable swappers have joined. Even if Diane messaged the host it doesn't mean she'd take the advice. I've tried helping multiple hosts and they ignored me only to ask for angels in the forums later. I think posting a comment here is a good thing.

Everyone, if you don't get your ATC, just let me know okay. I will be happy to send you one. I think its called an Angel. So i had no intention for it to get this huge. I just figured a few. I wanted it just as simple as i could make it. I just wanted to share a ATC with someone. I hope all involved get theirs if not I shall make sure those who dont send theirs to their partner will have their names splashed about ... I have a few friends on here who would be happy to let others know that they cheat... there I hope all is well and that we all have some awesome ATC's.

Wow! A lot of people have signed up for this one. So excited about it, and I like the theme. I always have a few extras lying about (in the book, on the workbench, on my desk, in a frame). LOL. I got carried away on the Dog Breeds swap and made about 30 ATCs with dogs on them. Had great fun identifying all those dog photos. So dog ATCs are now finding new homes in swaps like this one.

I put mine in the mailbox today, but it won't go out until Tuesday because of Labor Day.

Mine is done and ready for the post office on Tuesday.
