Traveling Art Journal Round #3

This is Round 3 of the Traveling Art Journal swap. I will be putting a new round out about every 2 months. If that starts to look like it’s just too much time between rounds, I’ll close them in a bit. But I thought in 2 months, everyone will have plenty of time to do something nice in the journal you receive and still get it mailed. I understand that things can happen. Please let your partner know if you’re going to be late sending out this swap.

IF THIS IS YOUR FIRST ROUND: You will buy a journal, notebook, comp book anything with at least 34-40 pages (This can be handmade or bought) - no smaller than 5.5" x 8" and no bigger than 9"x12". On the cover, give your book a title, like “Traveling Art Journal.” Then decorate both front and back covers. You will write a short biography about yourself (1-2 pages) and include a photo or artful image of yourself. On the next page, you will include an art journal entry of anything you want… (if you are new to art journals, please Google the term "Art Journal" for inspiration). Then you will do the same thing on the next page. On the next page, you will leave a prompt - a journal page inspiration for your partner on what kind of journal entry they should create in the journal. Then send it to your partner. Be sure to include your name and address on the last page, so we know where to send the journal when it gets full. So altogether, you will have added a bio, 2 art journal pages, and an inspirational prompt.

IF THIS IS YOUR SECOND OR SUBSEQUENT ROUND: You will have received a journal in a previous swap (I hope). First, you will answer the prompt in the journal with a page of art. You will then write a short biography about yourself on the next page or two, including a photo or artful image of yourself. After your bio, you will follow the guidelines for First Rounders, except you only need to do one art page (you’ve already done a second art page by answering the prompt). You will end up with a prompt answer, a bio, an art page and a new prompt for the next person, and you’ll send it on to them. Please let me know if there is anything that isn’t clear.
