Novelty FQ Swap: Fun and Funky

I love making fun little things like coin purses for my daughters or fabric journal covers and bookmarks for friends(and swaps!) out of fun and funky novelty fabrics. And I was in the fabric store today and kept seeing so many bolts of novelty fabrics that are good quality fabrics and would be perfect for these types of projects. So I thought why not a swap?!?

So for this swap, I'm going to run it like the stash builders: You have 3 partners. You will purchase 1 yard each of two quilting quality cotton novelty fabrics off of the bolt. You will cut each of them into fat quarters. Keep a fat quarter for yourself from each fabric and send one fq of pattern A and one fq of pattern B to each of your 3 partners. When the swap is done you will have 8 FQs of novelty fabric. You can use these for I Spy quilts, fun gifts, projects to swap, etc.

The theme is sender's choice this time around. For themes, I will ask that one of the FQs fit the theme and the other can be sender's choice. I am open to character prints. No holiday prints if it is not the theme of the month, ie no Halloween prints unless it is Sept. Here are future months themes:

• April: Girly(Mother's Day)
• May: All Boy(Father's Day)
• June: Patriotic(July 4th)
• July: Down by the Sea
• August: In the Jungle
• September: Halloween
• October: Thanksgiving
• November: Christmas

• December: Winter Wonderland

  Note: The holiday themes are a month before the holiday, so you can make projects for that current holiday.

I am allowing newbies with full profiles.... this is a good way to get your type 3 swaps rated as a 5, please put forth your best effort. I will angel but you will need to rate the flaker with a 1.
