Theme #1: the color Green

New to the world of Smash Books, Junk Journals, and/or Art Journals? Maybe you’re not new and are always on the lookout for some new themed items for your pieces of work? Then maybe this is the swap for you!

I am very new to smashing and really want to get a push in the right direction. I designed this swap for that reason…a little help in my smashing quest. I will be hosting the Send Me This Smashing Theme two times a month if there is an interest in it.

For this swap we will send our partner at least 5 items (or more) that has to do with the swap theme. Please do not only send stickers…if you choose to send them, keep in mind that a sheet of stickers is considered to be 1 item. The object is to help your partner acquire stuff for his/her book or journal. It might also be helpful to look at your partners profile for inspiration.

Here are just a few ideas of what you can send:

images, stickers, magazine cutouts, ads, cut out words, articles

tickets, stubs, receipts

wrappers (clean)

small, mostly flat novelty items

handmade items such as envelops, edgings, cricuts, etc.

postcards, atc’s, tags

used or new postage stamps

ribbons, brads, deco tape strips,paperclips

You can send whatever you believe is relative to the theme, but keep in mind to only send something you would like to receive. Do not send things that are damaged, ripped, stained (unintentionally) or have an odor. If you need ideas on what to send: Google smash books. Remember you are not to send pre-made pages.

Since most of the items you will send your partner will be flat, I have opened this up to be international. I will check everyone’s ratings and feedback before assigning partners. No recent 1’s or 3’s. Newbies are welcome…this is the point of the swap. However, please have a well filled out profile (especially with likes and dislikes).
