A Week Of Letters #2

If you intend these to be "handwritten only", like the last round, would you consider editing that into this description? I received a typed one from round 1 and am not sure how to rate since it was only discussed in the comments below the description.

Is there anyway you could make a minimum on pages. The last swap you did I received a letter consisting of 2 pages but only 11 lines (not kidding) beautiful stationery but I could have fit more on a postcard.

Awesome, thank you! So far, both letters I received were typed. However, one was obvious that she'd read my profile and was making personal conversation so that didn't bother me at all. The second one was a form letter so that was sort of a disappointment. :(

@d2photo = done. Just altered. Good idea too by the way. I don't mind short letters such as a couple of pages. As long as the sender has obviously checked out my profile and has written something of interest...not just a not saying 'these are my interests, this is what I like to watch on tv, this is my favourite food, bye'.

Hopefully this round will produce some better letters for you!

I'm just curious... What happens if we were in the first one and happen to get matched up with another who happened to be our partner before? :) hehe like I said I was just curious... :)

I'm going to drop out of this one cos so far only 1 of my swap partners from the first swap has acknowledged receiving the letter and given me a rating (and that was the last letter I mailed). It may be that the mail is slow or something may have gone wrong with the mail out of my village, but I'm not keep writing these letters and mailing them out (especially now postage costs have gone up in the UK AGAIN) if people can't click to say they've received them.

@mooncrab I received your letter yesterday. Patience with the post is essential.

Will we know the names of the five people before we start writing? Do people usually send the same letter to all five people?

@LAMDZINE I'm about to assign partners now. You should send different letters to each person, based on their profile info.

I've assigned partners, so happy writing. I also had to remove some people from the swap as their profiles were not very well filled out. If you are one of those people, don't take it personally. Just ensure that you fill in your profile a little more and try again next time. For some inspiration take a look at your partners profiles to see all the info they have jam packed into it. :) dreamlily

Im glad that you check that. I just had a partner in another swap for super long pen pals the swap called for at least 3 pages back in front, and the person I got pared with had a profile that was only like 6 lines total that was about the hardest letter I have ever written!! Thanks again. Looking forward to this swap

@rainamr127 it's so hard, because I can check profiles but there is still no guarantee that everyone will do what they are meant to! I can only know to exclude them for next time!!! Glad you joined.

I ended up with two of the same people from the last swap so I guess you girls are gonna be getting two letters from me as I've got others to respond to from both of you... hehe :)

@topekagal66601 - if you have letters to reply to from these girls, you have my permission to use THOSE reply letters as letters for this swap (just let them know I said so!) rather than writing two letters!!! Dreamlily

@dreamlily I used A4 paper, because I was confused... is that an issue? When you say a normal piece of writing paper, I am thinking the size of A4, as A5 is half the size regular writing paper I think. When you say two pages, is that one page back and forth, or two pages back and forth.

Hey there, I meant a5 paper, but some people don't know what that is, so I said it's half the size of normal paper. I should have just put the measurements! But it doesn't matter if it's more. No problems there. And just two pages, front only written on is sufficient, although I find that I write probably double that usually. Everyone is different so whatever you feel is 'right' for that person as long as it is the minimum :)

I am so glad i logged on today 7 seen my partners for this. I haven't checked my email so I almost forgot about this swap. I got started RIGHT AWAY!

I just finished a letter to Tif @pikachuu i wanted to write a book but had to stop myself!

on a roll. just finished another long chatty letter to @Ndw76 (nathan). These will be going out before 4pm. Thats 2 down & 3 to go. ALL my letters will be OVER 2 pages. The minumum I can do is a 4 page letter and even that's too short for me. I have about 9 of my "regular" pen pal letters I got in the mail yesterday to answer, so it's going to be a super busy writers week for me between now & the 30th. my goal is to do 3 a day but I will be just fine if I do 1 a day too. i don't RUSH my letters.

Question: @dreamlily when you say 2 pages: Do you mean: front & back of 1 paper =1 pg or do you mean front of 1 paper =1 pg and back of same paper = 2 pgs?

okay i mailed letters to Tif @pikachuu & @Ndw76 (nathan) around 6pm Friday, so they will go out with today's mail unless there was a pickup before 7:00pm at post-office before they locked doors. i just finished writing letters to @madsie123 (madelene) & Roselyn @violinpopstar i will mail it out with today's mail. I am hoping to write and mail a letter before 5pm on Sunday to @ elleto (Leeanna).

I will work on writing to you @elleto (Leeanna) between today & tomorrow.

The letter to mirrymir is already received by her. The letters to lovelyred203 and lostinavalon are ready to go tomorrow, because postalservices don't work in weekends over here.

I have 2 out of 5 in the mail. Work and daughter and anniversary planning (out 11th) put me out of the game and dragging my butt.

I was hoping to get ALL my letters before I left for NYC. I will be in NYC until the 24th of May. I am sitting at peter pan terminal reading letter received from @porcelin72 Yes I am originally from Bklyn but I am on my way to Staten Island.

I went on vacation before i received swap bot swaps but i am gonna trust u sent it. I will not be back to Massachusetts til after July. So i will just give ALL my swappers benefit of doubt and say everyone sent it. i will make a call in a few to check and see. thanks
