C+P: Anne Taintor Style Handmade PC

Make one collage postcard for one partner modeled after Anne Taintor's hilarious, irreverent, snarky, retro-fabulous line of products. You've probably seen the cards, stationery and images, but in case you are unfamiliar, check out her website: Anne Taintor: Vintage Revisted.

What we'll do is make our own postcards using her "formula": a person (man, woman or child) on a patterned background with a snarky, humorous caption in cut & pasted style text.

You do not have to go vintage with your images. You can borrow quotes and jokes from elsewhere, but it's really fun thinking up your own, too!

Postcard size is sender's choice. Artwork needs to be original, cut+pasted collage work. Please take time making your card interesting: make a mixed-media background, layer, add paint & ink stampings, etc. Simply taking an ad from a magazine, gluing it to a piece of board and adding some words will not cut it.
