*** International**
*** 4.8 and over rating**
*** Newbies welcome with a full profile**

I will carefully check profiles before I assign partners so please be assured that I will not let anyone join the swap who doesn't fulfil the stated requirements

Make 12 inchies for each partner. 2 partners x 12 inchies = 24 total.

There is no theme, it's free choice, so you can get creating as soon as you like! Inchies can be made from any media - the only rule is that they are 1" x 1", and should be made on a sturdy background, not just flimsy bits of paper.

Make sure you do your best work and send inchies that you would be happy to receive yourself. They should be on cardstock to make them sturdy.

Please be a committed swapper - if you are not going to send or not going to rate your partner, then please do not sign up. I reserve the right to ban 'iffy' people before I assign partners.

Any questions please ask

Inchies are so much fun to make! Can't wait to start on another batch. Thanks for hosting another inchie swap.

Glad you are enjoying the swaps. They are a bit of a challenge as they are so small but sometimes it's nice to work with a smaller area than the normal ATC size.

If I make fabric inchies, do they need to be adhered to cardstock? can they be flexible or do they need to be stiffened somehow?

And is there a limit on textural height?

Thanks!

missychrissy 04/23/2008 #

Preferably fixed to cardstock to make them sturdy. As for height - not sure. I keep mine in a plastic sleeve made for coins so anything too bulky wouldn't fit. As long as they are not more than a couple of cm I suppose they'd be OK.

VJP 04/25/2008 #

I make mine from shrinky material and embellish them with items that are thick sometimes. I also have added a fether to one. Is that okay?

missychrissy 04/26/2008 #

Yes, VJP, anything goes in this swap, as long as they are 1" x 1" and qualify as an inchie.

Just curious...you state I will carefully check profiles before I assign partners so please be assured that I will not let anyone join the swap who doesn't fulfil the stated requirements. I don't see any stated requirements....

Hi! Im just a newbie to the site and to inchies, would I be able to join?

missychrissy 04/30/2008 #

VJP - 4.8 rating and over is the only requirement, or if a newbie, to have a full profile.

That message is standard on all of my swaps as I've had a couple recently with flakers in and I want to reassure participants that I will try my best not to let this happen again. Obviously with newbies I can't guarantee it but I check profiles carefully.

missychrissy 04/30/2008 #

Doublesided: yes you can join in, welcome to the swap.

Arrgghh--good thing I checked the swap before I sealed my envelopes! For some reason I was thinking it was 10 to each partner--gotta go make some more art!

twobluecrows 06/14/2008 #

I sent mine June 9 to Australia and Israel--I don't suppose they've arrived in either place yet! I hope they make it through customs--I sent them as letters, with no customs forms. They all fit nicely in pleated paper holders inside note cards.
