Description:

Hello All.

For this swap ... we're going to make a monochrome handmade postcard featuring BROWN. Create one original collage postcard in a monochromatic BROWN color scheme. All variations of brown are welcome. If by chance some other colors sneak in, that's fine, as long as the card is predominately brown.

Please create your collage using paper and other collage bits. You may add other media accents as you like - stamped ink, pen doodles, paint touches, stitching - but the heart of the challenge is to use cut+paste collage techniques to create a monochromatic postcard. Remember that you can paint or ink up paper to get it to that perfect shade of brown (painted book pages, etc.)

I recommend using between 5-10 pieces/techniques. Postcards with a backing and one item glued down are disappointing, right?

Once your brown postcard is complete, mail it naked to your partner. Don't forget to include the group and swap name somewhere on your card so your partner can rate you easily.

Oops, I'm doing brown for the un-color swap. Oh well.... Hey thanks, Steph, for posting that UPS slogan. I think it's hilariously disgusting! =laugh=

Hey, Angie, I do collages with less than 5 items glued down all the time! =pout=

Poor Fi. You're right. Your collages are beautiful.

I saw the example and said "Hey, that looks like one of my cards"...

I love my un-color card so much....I'm up for brown! Or maybe I'm down for brown!
