Writer Birthdays

What famous (or not so famous) writer shares your birthday?

For this swap, we'll be celebrating birthdays no matter where they fall in the calendar year! You will send one partner a letter and a small wrapped writerly gift (sender’s choice and interpretation on writerly).

First, you'll need to post your birth day below (month and day).

Next, go to Author Birthdays. Find your birthday and check out the writers who share your special day. The lists are mixed so be sure to pay attention and look for novelists, poets, journalists, authors, etc.

Then, in a letter/note to your partner:

• tell him/her if you were surprised to be a birthday twin with any of the writers on the list

• if you’ve ever read any of your birthday twins’ work, and if so what?

Finally, buy or make a small writerly gift for your partner. Wrap it up and send it with the letter.
