SB/GB September Smashbook Pages-EDITED 8/13

OOOOH! My book is getting so fat, I think it's going to be two books! I'm really loving it. So.....

Here is the next installment of the monthly smashbook page swap. Feel free to join at any time. Instead of doing a traveling book type of swap, we will make 4 pages for each partner each month. Take 4 pieces of cereal box, art paper, cardstock, or whatever you are using, create a smashbook page on both sides and you have 8 pages, 4 for each partner! Please be sure they are something you would be proud to show your mama! We all want our books to be great when we are done!

The theme for September is "Scrappy" and it's going to be so much fun! We will be using all scraps! Nothing bigger than 3"x4". You can sew them together or glue them to another piece of paper. You can decoupage them, hand stitch them or fasten them together any way you like, as long as they make a sturdy page. At least two of your pages have to be done this way, but the backs can be whole sheets if you like. And all of your embellishments should be made from scraps. No purchased embellishments!

EDIT--I am changing the size of the scraps to 3" x 5". I just finished mine and I realized while I was making them that I wanted some of the strips to go the full width of the page!

Make the pages sturdy and be sure to sign them somewhere, (That's something I keep forgetting to do!) You can add a quote or saying or some personal writing if you like, but remember, the main idea is for your partner to be able to use them in their own smashbook, which means they have to have room on the pages for their own additions. The page above was made by me for the August theme.

Note: I got a really good suggestion from damilola. She suggested that when all our pages are made, we should swap covers, too! I think it's a great idea, so look for that in January, after we have a full year's worth of pages. (We'll only have one partner for that swap!)

We will set a general size of 5x7". If you need a different size, leave a comment below for your future partners. Don't add any kind of binding so that your partner can choose how to put them together. These shouldn't cost too much in postage, so I 'm making this international.

Participants should have a rating of 4.5 or better, and newbies with a well-filled-out profile are welcome. Let's have some fun and create some pages to be proud of!
