Description: | |
I've been dying to make myself some reuseable shopping bags, and now that school's out I actually have some time to do it. For this swap, you will have 1 partner. You will need to send your partner three (minimum) reuseable shopping bags. Send more for hearts! Dates are far in the future to give everyone some time (but still in time for Christmas) :]--make sure what you send out is something you'd like to receive! Swappers 4.8 and up welcome to participate. No no-sends. Newbies, feel free to sign up--just make sure you're rated for at least five swaps before this swap closes. :] Your shopping bags can be store-bought if you prefer, but there are so many ways to make them--you don't have to know a certain craft. Or you could try a new craft for this! I've included several links to get you started..have fun! 35 free patterns/tutorials: http://tipnut.com/35-reusable-grocery-bags-totes-free-patterns/ More ideas here: http://www.myrecycledbags.com/ Fabric: http://u-handbag.typepad.com/uhandblog/2007/04/oneofthe_medi.html http://www.vegbitch.com/2007/10/29/reusable-shopping-bag/ http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/merryhappyshopper http://sewing.about.com/od/bagstotespurseproject/ss/grocerybag.htm Fused plastic: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/recycleyourtesco_bags From old t-shirts: http://www.marthastewart.com/article/good-thing-t-shirt-bag Crocheted plastic: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=23222.msg20773#msg20773 Knitted plastic: http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/crneedlearts/article/0,2025,DIY137683059465,00.html Made from placemats: http://www.cutoutandkeep.net/projects/placemat_totebags |
