Description:

I've been dying to make myself some reuseable shopping bags, and now that school's out I actually have some time to do it. For this swap, you will have 1 partner. You will need to send your partner three (minimum) reuseable shopping bags. Send more for hearts! Dates are far in the future to give everyone some time (but still in time for Christmas) :]--make sure what you send out is something you'd like to receive!

Swappers 4.8 and up welcome to participate. No no-sends. Newbies, feel free to sign up--just make sure you're rated for at least five swaps before this swap closes. :]

Your shopping bags can be store-bought if you prefer, but there are so many ways to make them--you don't have to know a certain craft. Or you could try a new craft for this! I've included several links to get you started..have fun!

hi! is this swap international?

crayolaskiies 05/15/2008 #

Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm thinks They can be pretty lightweight, depending on how you make them. I don't see why not. Does anyone object to international? And PS, I'm excited how many people are already in this! Haha.

I am super excited about this! I've made some reusable bags in the past but my sewing isn't exactly great. They hold together just fine but I'm useless at getting the stitching straight, I'll practice hard for this swap!

Talita 06/30/2008 #

Great!!! I'm in then :)

the host has been partially suspended. Does that mean this swap is still valid? I had wanted to join.....does anybody know how the rules work?

carladallas 08/17/2008 #

I wouldn't do it.

The swap is still valid because it was already going. I'm not a flaker but I did run into a hard time with a lot of unexpected things going on and I'm working on things one at a time to repair my rating. When all my "crises" started happening at once, I immediately dropped out of all my swaps that hadn't started yet so I wouldn't get even farther behind. I just have a couple more things to send out. Whoever I get as my partner for this swap will certainly receive their items (early!)--I've already started working on the bags I'm going to send so they'll be ready to mail out as soon as I know where to send them. You can certainly choose to opt out if it would make you more comfortable.
