Vintage Style Bookmark

This is the first swap I am hosting for the group, and I am really looking forward to getting started.

For this swap you will make your partner a vintage style bookmark.

Bookmarks must be made from a sturdy base material – you are making something that people are going to actually be using! It is senders choice as to the exact style, but for some suggestions, think flowers, birds, etc. or you could use the page of a vintage book as the background. If you do use bookpages, photocopies or scans are acceptable. I am not going to ask you to cut up a book for this!

Chrissy has some excellent links on the forum for vintage images etc.

Make sure that the sides are covered/sealed, and finished of nicely. There should be no loose parts that are likely to come off with use.

I am not going to specify an exact size, but obviously it needs to be large enough to fit a standard paperback.
