Description:

One of my favourite things about receiving postcards is hearing something about the sender, which is what inspired me to create this swap.

Here's the idea: for each swap, I will provide a writing prompt or idea, which you will consider when sending your postcard to your swap partner. This prompt might bring up a memory, a feeling or even a conversation that you overheard today in the grocery store. You're free to write as much or as little as you like, as long as it in some way relates to the prompt.

This weeks prompt: Write about something valuable that you have learned in this life. It might have to do with love, work, fact-based, something you learned in school, a quote that has stuck with you, friendship. Or it might be something else entirely!

Postcards should be chosen with consideration towards the receivers preferences; whether you send your cards naked (without an envelope) or in an envelope is completely up to the sender.

Newbies are welcome with well-filled out profiles.

I will be checking participants profiles and ratings thoroughly before assigning partners; please note that if you are currently showing as late on any swaps I will request that you follow through on those before participating in this swap. I have also placed a fairly high automatic rating requirement on this swap in an effort to encourage a safe and fun swapping experience for us all.

Haha I thought this was about writing postcards in a timely manner Hence the word Prompt. Of course your idea is even better. Thanks for hosting.

@AZmom875 That's an idea as well! I say run with it-- some of my best Postcrossing inspirations have come from seeing another persons swap and figuring out a slightly different spin on it. :)

As this will be my first swap, I just want to ask how I'll know who my partner will be. Will I get an email by the host with all the details? I'm a bit nervous, don't want to be late with my swap only because I don't know where to get the partners details :-/ thanks for helping me :)

@basilikum83 You should be able to see your swap partners information now, both in your email inbox as well as on this page at the top ("see the partners that you send to").

Please let me know if I can help you out with any other questions. :)
