Texas Items Everywhere in the State!

Have you noticed the plethora of Texas themed mugs, shot glasses, baking dishes, kitchen towels,and more? At HEB not long ago I found bars of soap--three types, all Texas themed! So that suggested a swap idea. Each participant will send a Texas themed item from a tourist/gift shop to greeting cards made from your blue bonnets photos with yours kids sitting in the midst of the blossoms. Spend around $3-$5; be careful here as you will also have postage; If you buy a $6 mug, how much will shipping be? At the same time, 3 or 4 tourist post cards is not enough'! If you're stuck for ideas, try Google to locate free photos to make into note note cards or a Texas tag that shows you really worked and used your imagination! Please remember that something inexpensive but created with your vivid imagination can be a "better" exchange than something you quickly grabbed at your nearest gift shop and packed up with little or no interest and mailed. Remember also that many or us may be looking at NASA lay-offs and numerous other problems so please don't judge what you received beside what you sent. If you received a beautifully made tag or set of notecards,but you sent a $7 dollar mug.that would still be meeting the awap requirements.. We usually remember the gifts someone made for us more than any others. I still have a set of doll clothes my aunt made for me when I was probably 3-4 yr old. I will never part with them!
