SE: Altered Altoid Tin (Feb 2014)

Altoids are mint candies that come in a cool little tin. (I actually do not like the candies, but that is neither here nor there). These tins are great for storing little items suchs at pins, tacks, beads etc. So I thought it would be fun to alter one.

The measurements of the tin are:

• 3-13/16" (9.68 cm) long
• 2-7/16" (6.19 cm) wide

• 3/4" (1.91 cm) deep

Requirements:

• 1 partner = 1 altered Altoid Tin

• Sender's Choice

• Any medium...NO STICKER SLAPPING (paints, alcohol inks, mod-podge, material etc are all fine)

• Decorate the inside but keep it flat, so we can store items (these won't be shrines).

• Add a little "tuck-in" for your partner...whatever you like that will fit in the tin. Does not have to be anything expensive, just a little something. (Again sender's choice)

• Pack carefully, send on time and please use correct postage. (this is a requirement, not a suggestion).

Please be sure to let your tin dry over night (maybe 2 nights) so the packing won't stick to it.

Also as a little helpful tip...lightly rub your tin with a low grade sand paper to help the paint stick (or you could use a base coat of some type)
