@JenniferVD has asked that somebody finish these Altered Playing Card (APC) swaps. I hope she joins them! So far, we've finished A, 2, 3 and 4 (16 cards made)! The goal is to have a complete deck of APCs. How it's done: For each round, one rank (letter or number) of APCs will be swapped. You'll make 4 APCs belonging to the rank featured in that round. We started with the Ace (A). For example, when the featured rank was 'Aces', we made an APC using the ace of spades, hearts, clubs AND diamonds. These four APCs were sent to our partner. Rules: Use standard sized and shaped POKER cards (2.5 × 3.5" or 63.5 × 88.9 mm). When you're done your card, at least ONE corner of the card showing the number and suit must be visible, eg. the ace and the spade were shown in one corner. APCs are usually made in a portrait orientation. If you want to make a card in a landscape orientation, first ask your partner if this is okay. Since you have to make 4 APCs each time, you have to have a good sense of responsibility when you join this swap. But, think of this - your 4 cards don't have to be 4 different ideas. They can be related. I like to look at my partner's profile and see what their likes are and do 4 versions of the same card. Take a look at my Flickr link - I have these in a set. I'll be in contact with @JenniferVD to see if there have been any flakers or difficult swappers in the previous swaps. I'm an experienced host in swaps, and won't allow suspicious folks, k? I also don't like seeing 1's and 3's on your profile. I know life sucks sometimes - if you show that you're trying to remedy past mistakes, let me know. Okay, let's get on with round 5! |
