Description:

I'm addicted to cosmetics, and I'm not afraid to say that. Especially trying new mascaras, eyeliners, and lipsticks. I'm always searching for that perfect shade of red, or the perfect mascara. But I don't like trying something without someone else's perspective on it.

For this swap, you will not be sending cosmetics to someone, you will instead be sending a review.

So here's what you have to do. Go out and buy something that you've never tried before. Try to keep this under $10.00. A good example would be a new eyeshadow, mascara, or longwear lipstick. Get something that you yourself have been looking for. Don't be afraid to try lesser known brands, or items from the dollar store. Any cosmetic or facial product is acceptable (I.E. Eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow, concealer, facial cream, makeup remover, nailpolish, false eyelashes, etc.)

Try it out. Give it a good test run. Does it smear easily? Does it last the amoutn of time promised on the package? Does it smell nice? Does it go on easily? What is the color like? What about the packaging? Is it environmentally friendly? Was it a good deal for the price? Take all this into consideration when writing your review.

Then, write up your review (Including an overall rating, pros and cons, why you chose this product, where you heard about it, etc.), and send it off. This will be a snail-mail swap, and you will each have 2 partners.

You will only be sending your written review of the product, not the product itself. That is for you to keep. So you get somethign out of this as well!

Okay, now for the technical stuff: Since your just sending a letter, we'll open this to newbies. USA and Canada only (Becuase of cosmetics brands availability) please. A letter costs less than 50 cents to mail, so this shouldn't be hard on postage.

You'll have 1 month to write your review. If your testing a product that promises results in a certain period of time, feel free to write a day-by-day account of how it works (I.E. A facial cream, or lip plumper.).

So once again here's what your doing, 1) Buy a new "cosmetic" product that you've never tried. $10.00 limit, please 2) Try it out & write a full review of it. 3) Snail Mail it to your 2 partners. 4) Keep the product for yourself to enjoy.

So that's it! Something for them, something for you. Have fun & Enjoy this swap!

Is it ok if the product is worth a little more than $10? I don't generally buy top of the line items, but I still find they usually cost more than $10 each... at least in Canada.

Sure! Just try to keep it something that anyone can pick up (like rimmel, revlon, max factor, etc etc).
