Description:

We had a great time swapping spices in the original Spice of Life! swap, and there have been some requests for part 2. So here it is! :-)

Please make sure that it is legal to mail spices into and out of your country prior to joining this swap!

Who likes to try new flavorings for foods? Let's send spices representing our country, state, or heritage. Spices must be new and sealed. You may either send a jar/shaker or an equivalent amount in spice or seasoning packets or pouches. Let's try to send our partners something new and not send single-ingredient spices that are commonly available (basil, ground cinnamon, etc.).

The amount spent prior to shipping should be approximately $3-$5 per partner. We will each send to 2 partners. Please include a recipe or serving suggestion for using your spices! If you send spice packets with printed recipes on them, that will be fine.

What to send:

  • 1 new, sealed spice shaker or equivalent amount in spice or seasoning packets ($3-$5)
  • 2 partners each
  • recipe or serving suggestion for your spices

Swapper requirements:

  • minimum of a 4.8 rating
  • no no-sends
  • must make sure prior to signing up that it is LEGAL to send spices in and out of your country
  • new swappers are welcome with a complete profile and a private message to the swap coordinator
  • please be a courteous swapper who sends good quality swaps on time! :-)

Have fun swapping!

Hi, Can we send homemade spices (own recepie)?? Store brought spices are accessable to every one.....

For this one, please plan to send something purchased and sealed, as many swappers only want packages that are sealed and labeled for health/safety reasons.

Single spices are widely available, but I've gotten some great seasoning packets and shakers from Canada and Spain in swaps--things I could never get here. I often send out Tex-Mex spice blends. I bet you have some very interesting spice mixes in Dubai that aren't accessible to everyone, so I hope you decide to join!

It may be that your assigned partner will be OK with receiving a home blend if you ask, but please be prepared to send something pre-packaged if that is the preference of your partner. Thanks for asking!
