TIAZ – Art Baggie

The fabulous @MissWhimsy gave me the idea for this swap. Use at least a sandwich size baggie, and fill it full of art. This is not for supplies to create art, but actually art itself.

You should send at least 5 items relating to art, artists, illustrators etc. Some suggestions are;- reproductions of art, notecards, postcards, magnets, altered art, pendants, etc. – anything goes as long as it is art related. Museums and art galleries are great places to find bits, and Etsy is wonderful! Some handmade items are fine too.

When you sign up feel free to comment below with some ideas of your favourite artists, or art movements, or also comment as to anything you particularly dislike. If you would like a surprise then don’t comment at all! For example, you could say you really like renaissance art, but dislike modern art, or you love the artist Matisse, but dislike Monet etc.

It is senders choice as to what is sent – the comments are just suggestions, but obviously don’t send them things that they have said they dislike!!!

I recently took an art history class which introduced me to some fabulous artists that I knew nothing about previously, and thought this would be a lovely way to share our love of art with each other. You could send your partner a postcard of a painting that you love, or a reproduction of an illustration that you have always admired. It would be nice to send your partner a note as well, but this is not an actual swap requirement.
