Description:

I'm hoping to do a wide variety of swaps here on the Hundred Acre Wood, so here's a simple, low-cost postcard swap. Take a postcard, write your favorite children's poem on the back, pop it in the mail, and you're done! Examples of children's poets include Robert Louis Stevenson, Christina Rossetti, Edward Lear, Shel Silverstein, Lewis Carroll, Ogden Nash, A.A. Milne, and so on. But of course, you may also choose a child-like poem that was not necessarily written for kids (such as e.e. cummings). Postcard image is not required to match subject matter, but it might be fun to try to find a matching postcard if you'd like!

Can we make a postcard or should it be store bought?

anntabor 05/13/2014 #

Either handmade or store-bought! :)

Oh my gosh that's my favorite book of poems ever. My dad gave to me when I was a toddler and I still have it!

Can these be parodies of real poems? Or do they have to be the "real thing"?

@shandymink - sure you could do a parody :)
