Hello everyone! It's been awhile since I've hosted a swap and I feel like trading for a specific type of ATC this time around so I figured I'd host one again. This swap is being hosted within the USA ATC Swaps group. This swap will be for a hand drawn GRAPHITE ATC yet it will be OPEN Theme/Subject matter, meaning you can draw any subject you like but it MUST be a hand drawn card with graphite pencil. Standard graphite please, not tinted. We are going for a good old grey scale drawing here :) Also, I think this should go without saying, but just to be on the safe side...you are to send the original drawing to your partner, and not a photocopy of it. PLEASE NOTE - This swap is for open for all skill levels. I'd like to encourage those who perhaps may not draw too often to give this a shot. You do not have to be an expert in this field, just please make an earnest attempt at exercising some detail and shading...no stick figures please :) If you have doubts on how to do this, just go to Youtube and type in graphite drawing tutorial and you will find lots of resources to help you if you need it. Try to create something you'd like to receive yourself. Also, if you only have a standard No. 2 ( HB ) pencil, that is enough to create a nice drawing. I used it for years before I had a full set. You can still shade with one grade, just not to the extent you can with a full set, so the use of a full set is not required for this swap. Please use either heavyweight paper ( bristol board, watercolor paper, etc.) OR. if you are using a light weight drawing paper ( anything below 90lb. ), please adhere it to a strong backing ( cardstock, cardboard, playing card ). Write your name/Swapbot ID, date and swap name on the back of your card. Let's make it easy for our partners to rate us. Also, you can use lightly tinted or colored paper for your drawing if you like, just make sure it's not too dark so that the drawing does not easily get lost in the background color. Okay, here is the TWIST...each swap participant who sends out their card on time and is rated within the grace period is automatically entered into a giveaway for a set of Prismacolor, 12 piece colored pencils. By grace period, since this is USA only, I figure a 2 week deadline from the send by date should be more than sufficient time for your partner to receive their card and rate. Please rate your partner as soon as you receive your card. This of course means that flakers are automatically disqualified from the giveaway. I reserve the right to extend the deadline in case of a special circumstances, but I also reserve the right to decline an extension. This swap will have a 4.98 or higher rating requirement to join, no recent, unexplained 1's or 3's, or older unaddressed 1's or 3's. I will be checking each participant before assigning partners. I will also make all attempts to angel anyone who has been flaked on, or seek help if there should be too many flakers :( . I really hope that is not the case though, :) I reserve the right to remove anyone from the swap who I feel may pose a potential problem, regardless of their current rating. Sorry for the wall of text, I hope I didn't leave anything out. Please don't be afraid to ask any questions if you have them. |
