Make me an APC challenge USA

THIS IS THE USA ONLY VERSION OF THIS SWAP, see group or my profile for the INTERNational swap. If you sign up for both swaps and you get the same partner you will need to do 4 different cards for that partner, but you can mail them together.

There are some of use who collect APCs, altered playing cards. This is a swap to grow your APC collection. APC are poker sized playing cards, decorated, but you leave one or both corners exposed or visible. People collect decks in themes. Cards are vertical in general not horizontal. If you are new to APCS or have any question, please ask of have some fun googling about APCS.

When you join please add 3-5 themes for your APC collections. At least 2 themes need to be general like Sunflowers or Cats, Butterflies, coffee, birds.

You may also list some more specific themes, like John Cusack with a heart, or Dr. Who, or Use a butterfly postage stamps etc.

This swap takes some communication between sender and Recipient. You will need to contact the person, you are making the APC cards and find out the suit and the number before you start creating. Please recipients have a few suits and numbers for your sender to choose from. Please communicate promptly.

THIS IS REALLY IMPORTANT!!!! YOU MUST USE A CARD that is 2.5 by 3.5 If you send the wrong size you will need to resend. Not all playing cards are this size, and some players get PO about getting the wrong size. (I love them actually, maybe I will do a slim apc swap someday)

You have one month to create and mail. You will make your partner 2 cards. Yes they can be the same theme, but the cards need to be different. They may coordinate, but do need to be different. So two cat cards are fine, or two sunflower cards. Communication with your partner is important.

APCs do not need another firm backing they are firm enough. You will need to add some contact info to the back of the card. It is up to the sender to decide how to put this info on the back, whether the entire back is covered or an address label or, paper with your contact info.

Please use glue that will stick to the APC, you may need to rough up the surface of the playing card to make paint or blue stick long tern. Please do not just slap on a sunflower on some paper, and call it an apc. Add some inks, or tapes, or embellishments. Make some art on a Playing card.
