Description:

Hello. I liked the idea of a diet support swap, so I thought I'd start an international version, to see what kinds of tips may come in from across the world.

You will have one partner. To your partner, send the following:

--A journal (handmade or store bought), at least 5x7 in size, with some sort of pretty cover. Doesn't need to be expensive, as long as it's good quality (no wire bound notebooks; pages must be sewn or glued in place) --A cute pen of some sort for writing in the journal. Doesn't have to match the journal as long as it's cute. --A few packs of sugar free gum or candy. You can choose how much to send, but it should be around 2.50 USD worth.

Inside the journal, write a page of two of encouragement and support for your diet partner. If you'd like to get email, etc. back from the partner, include your email address or contact information in the journal. (THIS IS NOT MANDATORY--this is an option if you want to develop a "weight loss buddy" relationship, but it is not required for you to include your info, nor for your partner to respond)

Also include 5 tips or tricks to lose weight, either from your personal experience or from the internet or a book.

This is an international swap. Ratings 4.0 or higher, with no more than 1 no sends. If you have multiple no sends, but extenuating circumstances, please contact me before signing up. Newbies, please make sure your profile is fully completed, and reply to my welcome email.

Welcome everyone. Thanks for signing up for my swap. I'm really excited to exchange tips with someone potentially across the world. :-)

Happy swapping!

This is a great idea! I think aAnyone who wants to lose 5, or 50lbs. can appreciate this swap. Looking forward to this swap and possibly building a support buddy system. Love the fact that you where thinking outside of the box and it's not the norm.

Thanks Bren. Actually, the idea itself was from another swap, but she restricted it to US only...I really liked the idea of having buddies across the world, so I started this one. If enough participants are keen on it, maybe we could do a regular swap with some sort of weight loss goodie each month or something.

Thoughts anyone?

I would be interested in that.

Just love receiving something in the post that is not an advert or a bill.

nifwlseirff, just want to let you know: I sent your package before deadline by airmale. I do not know how long post from Germany to Australia takes.

nifwlseirff 02/25/2007 #

Brittercat - I'm so glad it arrived quickly!

Murmel - it varies depending on whether customs want to open it for inspection. Anything from a week to 2 months by airmail. (Sea mail is anything from 3 weeks to 4 months!!!)

Australia post is horridly slow at times!

HI Kimberly

Not sure if my rating and message got through to you . Our internet connection is weird at the moment. The college is changing servers. Anyway - Just a note to say thanks - I received the parcel.
