Description:

For this swap you will make 1 handmade Christmas themed card with an envelope for each partner. You can always send more than one card, but one card for each partner is the minimum. The cards should be left blank so that your partners can use them sometime in the future. Minimum card size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

The cards needs to be of good quality, made from good quality cardstock, with time and attention put into the cards. Use your crafting and artistic ability and make a good quality handmade card. The point of a handmade card is for it to be something unique and creative that you cannot buy in a store.

I want to be very clear- the card SHOULD NOT be just a printed piece of copy paper folded in half, a folded piece of paper with a sentiment written on it, a folded piece of cardstock with stickers stuck on it, a few cardboard figures scotch-taped onto the front of the card, or portions of a store-bought card cut out and stuck onto a piece of card stock. This is not the swap for you if you have never made a handmade card before, or do not have the time or experience to create a good quality card.

You can use rubber stamped images, die cuts, Cricut die cuts, punches, ribbon, brads, buttons, embossing, or any other embellishments or crafty techniques to decorate your cards. Let your imagination flow! Just please make them of the same quality that you would like to receive.

I WILL ANGEL THIS SWAP IF NECESSARY!

Can I make a polite request to not get religious cards please?

I've never been in a card swap before. Is it OK to put dimensional things on cards which cause extra postage to be required. It seems like almost all my cards cost that extra 20 cents or so. I'm curious not only about this one but in general does that cause issues (no hearts to be awarded etc)

I think that it would be best to contact your swap partner to see what that person prefers. When I am sending out cards I sometimes make cards that I know will require extra postage for the added dimensionals, and I'm ok with that. But if I am sending a homemade card to someone else for their use, I usually try to not do that because I don't know if they will want to spend the extra money to mail it out.
