For this group swap, we have the theme of 'window'! We all get junk mail containing envelopes that have cellophane 'windows' that show the address inside. Your postcard creation must feature a window made from a cellophane envelope window. And, put something behind it as if you were seeing it through the window. You can use any medium you prefer. You can draw or paint window features. You can print out a graphic image you have made or found. You can cut out pictures from a magazine of curtains You can use rubber stamps or use paperstock images. Make sure to affix them firmly so they will not be ripped off by the postal machines! It's always a good idea to cover your homemade postcards with clear packing tape, découpage glaze or something similar to protect them in transit. And, of course, make something that you would not mind receiving. So, don't just slap on a single feather image and call it done. Add a decoration or 2, some contrasting paper, glitter, etc. Make it fun! Postcards should be standard size, as per USPS, to mail for .34¢ -
Any similarities to any other swaps are coincidental. |
