Tea-Dyed Country Primitive ATC

Let's try something different! I've never hosted a swap for a Prim ATC before and I've never seen one either . . . . so . . . . let's do it!

For this swap you'll be creating an ATC for your partner and the requirements are:

• the background paper be tea (or coffee) dyed

• the ATC feature a country primitive image (crow, tree, pumpkin, etc) . . . try to stick with an autumn image

Here are some instructions I found for tea-dyeing:

• Boil 2 pints of water; add 10 tea bags

• Boil for 15 mins

• Remove tea bags, forcing water through them

• Pour liquid in a shallow pan

• Slide paper into liquid; soak for 1-2 minutes

• Remove paper and blot dry with paper towels

You can also crinkle the paper before dyeing it and/or iron it flat after it is dry--not a requirement--just options to consider.

After your paper is dry, decorate in a prim style to your heart's content!

Some elements to consider: rusty stars, hearts, plaid fabric ties, cinnamon sticks.
