Oh forgot to post....I have three cats. And know at least four dogs. They all love presents.

I have 2 old spoiled tom cats, they are both 13 years old and a little black and white kitten who comes to my back door and cries, he belongs to neighbor, but I can not let him go hungry and he really chows down, I think their dog eats all the food they put out for them.

ladeebug....Thank you for feed the little black and white kitten. I run a rescue and we just took in a little cat who was abandoned and out in the cold with little or no food for the last six weeks. We struggle to educate people who just don't get it. Cats can and will starve without food. So, thank you.

Question? Are you figuring a dollar min. or max.? It would also be nice to know what kind of dogs that people have if we happen to be geared for doing something to trade for a dog. A cat you can pretty much figure for, but I am doing a swap now with dogs and I drew the name of a large dog, so obviously have to send something different than what my small dogs would wear. For example a collar would have to obviously be a different size for a 90 lb. dog compared to a 10 lb. one. lol

I am a board member of our local rescue group and our main focus is of course spay/neuter and medical outreach. I also do transports and have foster dogs and cats as well as my own stray population that we have taken in. My latest is a 7 year old blind papillon that I pulled an hour before she was put down. It amazes me how people will throw away an animal because there is a little something wrong and can't cope with it. The blind dog gets around just fine and takes in all of the other senses. She doesn't complain that she is blind. She goes with the flow and I love her as much as the other 3 papillons, who are all rescue throw aways too. I take one of the papillons and a one eyed, one eared cat with me as my spokes animals when I do lectures at the schools and 4 H groups. Getting through to the kids to realize what a problem we have in the pet population, will hopefully make them more responsible when owning pets. Puppy mills are such a problem in our state, especially in Amish country! It's all about the almighty buck and no concern for the animal.

Well got off track, but have cats and dogs both here. The dogs range from 8-12 lbs. Names are Jessie, Penny, Juicy and Speedo. 2 boys and 2 girls. Cats are (one eyed) Jack, Honey, Bisky, Zack, Ninja, Gray C, Ani, Cactus and the ferals... Tang(o), Whiskey and Foxtrot. We recently lost Swiffer.

Hi Needlewings.. Sorry I didn't answer your question...looks like there are 3 of us in the swap and 2 of us have mainly cats. Bless you of helping by being on a board of a rescue! In Oregon we have a ton of trouble with puppy mills...people, really!
