Description:

Most of you know what nesting dolls are right? It usually starts with a large, colorful wooden doll that opens up to reveal a smaller doll, which also opens up to reveal yet a smaller doll, and so on and so forth until you end up with the last tiny doll.

In this swap, we will use same concept but we will be doing it with envelopes. You will start with a larger handmade envelope and keep making envelopes a bit smaller so they all nest inside each other until you have a teeny, tiny envelope into which you will put a small treasure. This treasure can be a teeny card, embellishment, a pretty inchie, stickers, etc.

Please make your envelopes out of pretty papers (no plain paper, magazine or book pages).

Keep in mind that you are to send at least 5 nesting envelopes to your partner, but if you want to challenge yourself to see just how many you can get to nest, feel free to do so. The outer mailing envelope can be #5 if you want.

Only seal the outer envelope that your envelopes are being sent in, so that your partner can use the envelopes on the inside if they choose to do so.

Swap is sender's choice, so we can start making our envelopes now and finding something fun for the tiny surprise :)

Wasn't sure of the size of a number 5 envelope, but found this interesting chart for all of us who have envelope punch boards: http://www.horah.com/envchart.html

@bb2 what I meant by #5 was that your fifth envelope can be the mailing envelope. So you could nest 1, 2, 3, 4 envelopes and then put those into the 5th envelope, address this one and then mail it.

I hosted this swap before where I nested 5 envelopes and then addressed the 6th one, but recently I received one where someone did it where they addressed the 5th one. So, I was giving people the option, in case they didn't want to put the 5 nesting envies into another one for mailing.

I didn't even know there was a #5 sized envelope. :)

I'm hoping to join this swap, but I'm a little concerned about the send by date. (Only because I'm working tons of overtime right now, and babysitting my granddaughter once a week, and helping my dad once a week) If i can get it ready tomorrow I'll join for sure.
