Description:

Hey folks!

I had this idea in mind to make a swap for the creative writers among us. I think it will be very cool and fun to do.

I will give a prompt, which all of you have to write about. You can write about anything, and let your creativity fly - but the prompt has to be followed.

I will keep this electronic for now, because it's the first time I do this, and I don't know how it will work out. Please give your feedback if you think this is better for flat mail swaps, then I might host the next one for flat mail.

The prompt is:

You walk into your house and it’s completely different — furniture, decor, everything is changed. And nobody is home, except for a white rabbit - who sits there in the middle of the livingroom. What happened?

Write minimum 400 words about this prompt. You can start rightaway! You will have 3 partners, so it will be fun to read eachothers writings.

A few remarks:

  • Please ONLY join when you like writing, and have time for it. This is not an easy swap, because you have to put some thoughts in it, and it can take some time.

  • I will set the signup deadline in the beginning of 2015, so you don't have to rush during the Christmas days. So everyone will have some time to think about it.

  • I will allow newbies in this swap, but only with well-filled out profiles. I will check profiles and ban when I have doubts. NO FLAKERS here. No recently unexplained 1's or 3's.

As I mentioned before: please give feedback if you think this swap would be cooler in flat mail - then I will host another one with another prompt for flat mail.

This electronic one you have to send to your partner via e-mail. You can choose to do it in a pdf- or Wordsheet, or just loose in the e-mail.

Message me if you have any questions. I will be happy to answer them. And last but not least:

Let your creativity fly!

Hello there! I have the story ready! Can't wait to ready my partners' stories. :)

I've been thinking about this but I think I'll skip it. The prompt was promising until we get to the rabbit. I don't want to have stories given to me or so many parts of them -- coming home to the house being all different is enough. I don't want to deal with that rabbit. Just my way of working.

I am sorry to hear you skip it. I thought about it as well, but thought it was fun to add something more than just an empty house.. Maybe the next prompt will be more promising for you then!

Love this idea. Tea brewing now and I am typing away! Can't wait to see what others come up with!

Is standard RTF (Rich Text Format) since almost all word processing programs are able to read RTF?

ilsepulse 01/ 3/2015 #

Yes, I think you can use that @DerpyShy - otherwise, if your partner is unable to read it, you can always copy and paste it in the email :)

Oh, I wish I'd seen this sooner! Can't wait for the next one!

This was so much fun!!! Please, let's do another! I would love to continue with email. It allows us to continue to communicate and comment on each other's works. I would have loved to do like an online forum version of this where we each post our entry and then add comments. I'm not sure Swap-bot can handle something like that though which is sad.
