Number of swap partners:2
Description:

Have you ever bought a book (or a bunch of books) about a craft you wanted to take up but decided it wasn't for you because you didn't really like it, or because you don't have time for it, or because you simply have too many other crafts going on? Then this is the swap for you. You will have 2 partners and send one book to each.

If you don't have any books you would like to swap but you would still like to participate you can always go to the used books bookstore and buy a couple of books.

If you don't have books to swap but you have craft magazines you'd like to trade you may send 3 magazines instead of one book.

If you have zines you'd like to swap, 5 zines equal a book.

Some wear and tear is expected in used books, the only requirement is that they are still in good used readable condition.

Once you receive your books let your swap partners know you have received them and how much you like them (always nice to hear).

Don't forget to rate your swap partners.

Happy swapping!

SPECIAL NOTE:

In case I wasn't clear the books/magazines/zines should be crafty or hands on books in which there are projects to be completed by the reciver.

The books should not be about famous artists, artworks, history of art, gallery books, or the likes.

If you have any questions please contact me.

Can they be art books? or only craft ones?

user1028 05/ 3/2006 #

ilil ziv,

This is limited to craft books because they not only inspire us but provide us with cute project to complete.

thanks for the reply :-)

No problem.

everyone might already know this, but here's an FYI...

i had to send 3 books out today (two for this swap, and one for the book club swap), and i saved over $6 sending Media Mail instead of priority. i wouldn't recommend it if your stuff is late cuz it takes a little longer (like a week or so), but my shipping would've been over $12 if i'd gone regular mail.

thanks to my swap partner. i received books about macrame and molly scarfed them right up and started making bracelets. Thank you for that and the sweet email getting to kow me better. THis is what makes the swaps so much fun.

i received a lovely book on victorian crafts from New Jersey, but i can't thank (or rate) my swap partner because there was no note or name on the package. (and it almost didn't make it because the envelope tore open in the shipping - the post office salvaged it and sent it inside one of their funky plastic envelopes)

but anyway, thank you, whoever you are! there's some fun looking stuff to try out in here :o) ~chris
