@nserviam suggested a character name swap. So let's start the newyear with some new names for characters. We'll begin with characters whose names start with A-E. Send two partners a list of names, 3 for each letter, for a total of 15 names. The names you send can be the same or different for each partner. But you need to include the following for each name: what it means how pronounced if not standard. the etymology of the name. Feel free to add other info if you'd like. By the end of the swap series you'll have more than 150 names to use in your work this year. Still to come: F-J, K-O, P-T and U-Z. A special incentive to join all five swaps: each group member who participates in all five of the character name swaps will be entered into a random drawing to receive a character/baby name book from me! Are these names we make up, or just names we like? Do they have to be unusual names?

ReadMore: typed always preferred, but legible handwriting is OK. Keep in mind this is a reference guide your partner may have on hand for quite some time.

Cyn: Anything goes, as long as the swap guidelines are followed. You can check with your partner for genre preferences if that helps. The idea, however, is to have a list of names to pull from for characters of any kind.

the names I put together for this swap are a selection of various types of names; that way they can be used across a plethora of Genre; I hardly ever use typical english derived names in my stories, but I know not everyone wants odd names.... lol.. so I try to keep it interesting and varied to meet all types of writer's needs.
