Description:

Kawaii and Polymer Clay Charm crafters!

Lend me your ears! Or eyes, since you are reading with them now! This swap is calling to you! Those of you who have developed a love of creating these wonderful little clay treasures, let's share them with others who so earnestly share a love of this craft! Veteran Polymer Charm makers, and those of you who may have just begun, but would like to share your new hobby with the world! Let us make 5 Kawaii Polymer Clay Charms for our 1 partner. Let us make them with care, and love! And let us secure them delicately within an appropriately sized cardboard box, or small case, heck even a large mouth pill bottle should fit them comfortably! And once we've developed our five little creations, and comfortably secured them within their temporary resting place, let us write a small letter to our partner regarding our love of polymer clay charms! What is it that got you into making charms? Is there a particular brand of polymer clay that you prefer? Do you have a favorite thing to make? How long have you been crafting charms?

So, to clarify. The recipe for this package of happiness is a simple one. Behold!

Ingredients:

--5 Kawaii Polymer Clay charms, MADE BY YOU!

As for size, let's try to keep them about nickel size or larger (that's roughly about 3cm in whatever direction, but let's not be too picky)

--1 small cardboard box (about size for jewelry, or trinket box), plastic container, or large mouth pill bottle to put the charms inside.

Anything that will be sturdy enough to keep your charms safe during transit. Feel free to decorate your container! This is not required, but certainly is fun to do! This package will likely need to be mailed within a bubble mailer or small box, so please keep in mind this will be well over a single stamp postage.

--1 lovely letter written by you, to your partner!

You may write about anything relating to your love of polymer clay charms (see suggestions I've listed in the above paragraph). It does not have to be long, but as we are all lovers of this particular craft, I thought it would be nice to connect with fellow charmers! Maybe we'll even start some new pen pal friendships, and trade charms back and forth on a more regular basis! Of course this is not part of the swap requirements, just if you'd like to keep in touch with each other in the future, this is a nice way to begin!

--YOU. An established swapper with a 5.0 rating in good standing. You must have completed 10 type 3 swaps and been rated for them. No exceptions.

To Prepare:

--Pack the charms carefully within the protective casing of your choosing, insert your charm memoir, address envelope, and serve! I mean send!

Please Note: Kawaii in this case is meant as 'cute', and includes non-brand style charms, and not expressly Kawaii brands in particular (such as sanrio, san-x, crux, etc). Of course you are welcome to create charms depicting your favorite Kawaii characters, keep in mind it is also acceptable to create a charm of a super adorable cupcake, or a kissy face ice cream cone, or whatever you feel is just super freaking adorable! Many examples of these Kawaii charms exist online. Do an image search and you will receive a plethora of ideas!

I will be checking profiles prior to assigning partners, as this swap is specific and involved. By doing so, I hope to ensure no flaking will ensue. That being my goal, my resolve is that I will not need to angel for this swap. IF you are flaked upon, please contact your partner in a timely manor, and try to rectify amongst yourselves. If upon doing so, no resolve has been made, feel free to PM me at that time. We will address it at that time. Again, I hope it does not come to that!

~I understand that the rating requirements for this swap are strict. I have set them as such to keep the prospect of flaking near to null for this swap. If you do not meet these requirements, but you do have a well filled out profile, a decent rating, and a big heart, do not despair! PM me, maybe a private swap is in order ^_^ Keep in mind, I may not be able to do so for everyone, if I get a whole punch of PMs!~Also, if anyone is interested I will shortly be listing an international version of this swap! ~

PookiePie1307 - I agree!! They are so cute! I love seeing what others have come up with! >_< They're a lot of fun to make too!

So excited about this swap! So just to be sure, do we send them in a tiny cardboard box? Individually wrapped in plastic wrap inside that box? Or do we send in a bigger box?

Stuckinsideacloud 01/23/2015 #

@christy102194 - I'm glad you're excited! In a tiny/small box yes, or anything else that would fit them well. Then place that box within your bubble mailer or larger box, whatever you choose. This way, they have a bit more protection from their travels than if they were being thrown loosely into a box or bubble mailer. (In the past I've had charms arrive to me broken, likely due to poor wrapping). And wrapping them individually is a very good idea! It will keep them from rubbing against each other inside the box or container.

@PookiePie1307 - I couldn't figure out why your user name wasn't showing up as blue in my reply....then I remembered the 'at' symbol ^_^ Sorry about that!
