Each month I host one swap for the Bizarre Holiday swap. This month I have chosen Spunky old Broad as the theme. SOB This is a day and the month, go figure. I feel I need to give this day its proper acknowledgements. For this swap you will make 2 yes, 2 cards for one partner. The theme is spunky old broad, as you interpret it. Rules about ATCS they must measure 2.5x3.5 inches, have a firm backing, at least as firm as a playing card. You must put some contact info on the back. Try to add your nickname, the swap name, the date, etc. The more info the better. You cards need to be artful. You can rubber stamp, collage, draw, paint, zen tangles, use print outs, etc Please understand that sticker slapping isnt just about slapping stickers, If you use a printed image or a rubber stamp, then art up the back ground, please just dont glue an image on a background. Add inks, or fibers, words, texture, etc. About mailing. 2 cards should not weigh over 1 ounce, but it cost 21 cents more if you go over 1 ounce. If your card is bumpy: has brads or eyelets or staples or buttons or embellishments that are thick, you need to mark your envelope non machinable or hand cancel, that cost an extra 21 cents. There is no guarantee that if you mark it non machinable that they will hand cancel. Cards like this can be hand delivered to the postal worker at the PO counter, in most states. Yes I have heard your postal worker horror stories. You mail at your own risk in the USA. Please protect your art cards with either plastic sleeves or a smaller envelope inside. I will be hosting both a USA swap an International. USA players can join both or either. But must realize that there is a chance they might get the same partner in both swaps. You can mail swaps together, but if you get the same USA partner, you must now make that person 4 different cards. Keep this in mind. READ HERE!!! as part of this swap not only will you make 2 cards but you have to do something SPUNKY this month and write a note to your partner about what you did! Start thinking spunky. The deadline to mail will be in March so you have the whole month to create spunky and be spunky. |
