SWL ~ Childrens Mail Art & ephemera #5

This is for those who love childrens books, postcards, illustrations, anything to do with childrens art. I pick lovely childrens books up from my local charity shops for less than £1 a piece and they have some of the most gorgeous illustrations and interesting text for word art and the like.

This swap has 1 partner. You'll be making an envelope for your partner that is children's book theme. The envelope itself can be made from a page from a children's book, or it can be a pre-made/coloured/plain envelope decorated with ephemera, collage, stickers, children's book motifs, etc. if you are just decorating an envelope please make sure it is completely covered. If you are making an envelope from a book page, poster or calendar, please add some more detail on it like quotes, collage, illustration, stamps, stickers, etc.

Ideas but not limited to; beatrix potter, classic Winnie the pooh, Richard scarry, Enid bliton, vintage Disney, pop up books, penguin, little walker books, vintage guide books, charlottes web, where the wild things are, my very hungry caterpillar, reading tree, fairy tales, vintage childrens books, nursery rhymes, ABC's, childrens dictionaries. You don't have to use famous, well known or vintage authors/books, these are just examples. ;)

NO sticker slapping or shoddy efforts, please put time into this and make some pretty mail art. Please no images printed from a computer, no photocopies. Please stick only to the children's book theme. Please see my partners profile before using disney.

Fill the envelope with childrens book ephemera. Include a minimum of 5 flat pieces of childrens book ephemera but try to fill the envelope for your partner. There are lots of things you could include from the list below.

book page, jigsaw pieces, flash cards/spelling cards/playing cards, cuts out, die cuts from pages, postcard, bookmark, smash supplies, vintage ephemera, poster, book plates, handmade envelopes, stickers, etc. If just sending book pages (which is fine) please include a variety, from different books/pages so they are not all the same. Handmade is ok for two items (ATC's, paper crafts)
