April 2015: Sew you a circle/skater skirt

Hi everyone,

It's been a while since we had a swap and I hope you are ready for another. You may begin immediately so that you have plenty of time to complete your skirt before the deadline. No need to wait until partner assignments, since your skirt is not dependent on your partner.

For this swap you will make a circle skirt for you or someone else. After completing the skirt, you email pictures and a description to your partner. Since this is a sewing group, you must use sewing in some way to make your skirt.

1. Take a picture of your raw materials (fabric, thread, elastic, lace, etc)
2. Take a picture of your equipment (sewing machine, tape measure, needle and thread, etc)
3. Take one or more pictures during the skirt making process
4. Take a picture of you or someone else wearing the completed skirt
5. Email the pictures (or a link to where they can be viewed online) to your partner and describe what the process was like for you. Provide information regarding what made you chose your fabric, was it easy or hard to make the skirt and why, what would you do differently if your made another skirt, and anything else you want to share with your partner.
