TPS: Monoprint Mixed Media Magnet - USA Only

I love magnets, and handmade magnets are a fun and useful way to share our creations.

For this swap you'll create for one partner a mixed media magnet incorporating a monoprint in some way. Your print itself may be created using any monoprinting method you wish, and can be the background or focal point, your choice.

For the mixed media part, use at least 3 other different mediums/items in addition to your print. Acceptable mediums may include, but aren't limited to, the following:

• rubber stamping
• inks
• acrylic mediums, like heavy gel medium, modeling paste, etc.
• glitter
• embossing powder
• crackle paint/crackle medium
• Inka Gold (or any brand of metallic buffing medium/wax)
• beads, buttons, metal doo-dads, misc. embellishments
• wire
• spray paint
• watercolors, colored pencils, crayons, markers, etc.
• die cuts

These are just some ideas. Feel free to stretch your creative muscles and use whatever feels good. The sky's the limit!

Please be sure to create your magnet using a very sturdy base; plain old cardstock is not enough for this swap. Heavy cardboard, matboard, thin wood, or 2-3 layers of heavy watercolor paper are all good bases. As long as your base is substantial and not easily bent, then it should be fine. Make sure you adhere any chunky embellishments very well so your magnet can be around for your partner to enjoy for a long time to come.

Magnets should measure at least 2"x 3". They can be bigger if you choose, but nothing more than 4"x4". Sender's choice in style, theme, color, etc.

The nitty-gritty:

• 1 handmade magnet for one partner, minimum size - 2"x3", maximum size 4"x4"
• Must have a sturdy base
• Must include a monoprint in some way
• Must include 3 other, different mediums, not counting the monoprint
• Sender's choice in style, theme, color, etc.
