Pick a Theme means each person chooses the theme they would like their partner to create for them. Post your favorite theme or themes in the comments section below when you sign up for the swap. List as many or as few as you like. :) Chunky means heavily embellished. This can mean layers of felt, embroidery, or ephemera like buttons, brads, zippers, beads, etc. The idea is that this card should be too thick to fit into a standard ATC sleeve when it is finished. (Use a ziplock bag or plastic wrap instead for mailing.) Any base media is OK- fabric, cork, cardboard, plastic, etc, as long as it is standard ATC size. I find that a playing card box stuffed with tissue paper gives me the perfect size along with a really great base to work with. Make sure that all ephemera is securely attached to the card! Use sewing, brads, rubber cement, or hot glue, etc. and send in a small bubble mailer (or, if you're like me, a USPS flat rate small box), not a flat envelope. You wouldn't want your masterpiece to fall apart before it arrives! And lastly, make sure the entire piece is decorated, every side, every edge. This is a piece that's meant to be viewed from all angles. If you qualify to be in the group then you qualify for this swap. I cannot angel this one unfortunately. =( But I'm sure that won't be an issue! =) Since this can be a bit time/labor intensive, you will only have one partner to whom to send. EDIT: due to requests, this is now a USA only swap. These fit really well in a Priority Mail flat rate small box and that way weight isn't an issue. I'll start by listing my favorite themes: Bellatrix Lestrange/Death Eaters Snape/Potions Class Labrynth, especially Jareth Dark Alice in Wonderland Have fun! Don't worry! Google the heck out of this!
